Erected on the 14.2.2000, the memorial consists of a concrete plinth, supporting a marble tablet with inscription. 
Inscription:
BUNDABERG SUB BRANCH NATIONAL SERVICEMEN'S ASSOC. OF AUST. (Q) INC. THIS PLAQUE RECOGNISES THE SERVICE BY 314,000 YOUNG MEN WHO UNDERWENT NATIONAL SERVICE TRAINING FOR AUSTRALIA'S DEFENCE BETWEEN 1951-72. "THEY ALSO SERVE WHO ONLY STAND & WAIT"
