Apple Tree Creek War Memorial (Digger)
Location:
63km north of Maryborough (Bruce Hwy). In showgrounds just off highway, opposite rest area.

Description:

Sandstone obelisk with carving of crossed flags on stepped base.  Four marble Rolls of Honour inserted in centre of each face. The 'Digger' statue has been replaced on the top of the memorial and the commemoration has been restored to its former glory.

Inscription:

Additional information:
The original Digger by A L Petrie & Son, Toowong, was vandalised and replaced by obelisk. New Digger erected 18.8.1999 and unveiled by Hon Bruce Scott.
