Toowoomba Rats Of Tobruk Memorial

Description
Stone memorial with metal plaque inserted in centre. Erected in commemoration of the siege of Tobruk 10 April 1941 to 7 December 1941. Dedicated to Allied servicemen, including 782 Australian soldiers who lost their lives during the siege, the first defeat of the German Land Forces in World War 2. It was unveiled at the Mothers' Memorial Gardens in Toowoomba on 14.4.1996. Flag bearers were Mr Lachlan Gooch and Mr Roy Milne.
