2/3 AHS Centaur Shrine of Memories Memorial (Brisbane)
- Description
- A carved memorial tablet depicting a relief of the AHS Centaur and the services of the Armed Forces linked to the sinking of the vessel on the 14 May 1943 off the north east coast of Moreton Island. The tablet depicts the Merchant Navy, Field Ambulance, Australian Army Medical Corps and the Nurses. At the base of the tablet there is an inscription of the final lines of the 'Ode' to the fallen.
