Metal plaque mounted on internal wall of Brisbane Grammar School Memorial Library. Displayingthe Air Forces Eagle and school badge. Inserted in memory of Group Capt. Alan Douglas Groom D.S.O; R.A.F. The first Queenslander to win the Sword of Honour at Point Cook; an ex-POW in WWII and killed whilst flying a jet with the Royal Air Force in 1956.
