Land for memorial club rooms opened on 26 March 1954 by Sir Raymond Huish, RSL, was gift from Mrs J F Ley In memory of her husband, George Ley, (RAAF), killed on active service Irish Sea 23 November 1943, and his brother, Andrew Thomas Ley, (RAAF), killed in action Norway 29 October 1944, both sons of Andrew Ley, formerly of Kinleymore.
