Townsville Grammar School War Memorial Gates and Oval

In the early 1950 s a committee of past students raised enough money to build the gate and up-date the Oval. In 1995 the Memorial was re-dedicated during the VP (Victory in the Pacific) 50th Anniversary Celebrations. In 1998, a Lone Pine tree was planted on the Oval to acknowledge the five students and one teacher who lost their lives at Gallipoli.
