This plaque commemorates the successful raid on shipping in Townsville Harbour. It carries a Z Force dagger symbol and an etching of two men in a dinghy attaching a limpet mine to the side of a ship tied to a post.


To commemorate the successful raid on shipping in Townsville Harbour and the open roadstead and as a tribute to the courage and audacity of these members of Z Special Unit. June 1943.
