Brisbane Battle for Australia Memorial
Memorial plinth shrouded in brown marble, and displaying two plaques. The memorial commemorates, in remembrance, the service of Australian men and women, along with their allies, who fought the Battle of Australia. The battle took place against Japan in the South and South-West Pacific areas from 1942-1945.
There is also a dedication plaque on the front aspect.
The memorial is located just to the east of the Voyager Centre at the Chermside Historical Precinct.

The memorial was prepared by stonemasons from the Department of Public Works.
Unveiled in 2001 in Queens Place (former site of the Bellevue Hotel), cnr George and Alice Streets, in 2016 the memorial was moved to 7th Brigade Park, Chermside, by the Department of State Development and the Department of Housing and Public Works, due to construction of the Queens Wharf Brisbane Integrated Resort Development.
