Caskey Memorial Tablet (Allora)
A replica of the tablet originally erected at Spring Creek State School in commemoration of Lieutenant Lachlan John Caskey, who was killed in action during the Boer War at Mokari Drift, South Africa. The original tablet was destroyed in a fire in 1912, and the current memorial takes the form of a marble shield with timber backing. There is a portrait image of Caskey included. An additional dedication plaque was inserted below the memorial.
