Charters Towers War Memorial Cenotaph
This memorial cenotaph consists of a plinth with a three-tired base. This then sits on top of a stone foundation with black tile trim around the edge. Metal laurel wreath has been inserted each side. Metal plaques are positioned on the face of the memorial and left side.
In2005 the statue ofadigger was installed as part of the restorationof the Cenotaph. The Cenotaph was also retiled. This was funded in partnership by the Charters TowersCity Council and the Queensland Government through itsCommunity Memorials Restoration Program.

Annually an ANZAC Day Dawn Service is held in theCharters Towers Cemetery. At 9am a Commemoration Parade commencing in Mossman Street, marchesto the Cenotaph for a Commemoration Ceremony at 10am.
