Hervey Bay War Memorial
The square marble memorial set on a stone base is an excellent example of intricate marble carving around the top. Marble name plaques are carved into the memorial and the memorial is set on a square marble stepped base. A large metal world globe was installed on the top of this memorial in 1999, appearing to sit on four gold laurel leaves, perhaps to signify PEACE. Two spotlights are installed on diagonal corners.
