Memorial is a large shaped rock with a plaque attached. Mounted on a marble tiled base.

NATIONAL SERVICE MEMORIAL / Commemorating the 287,000 young men / called up for national service in the / Navy, Army and Airforce between 1951 and 1972. / Of them, 197 were killed and 1479 wounded overseas. / They served Australia. / Erected by Ingham and District Branch National Servicemen's Association of Australia (QLD) / Unveiled 2004
