Laidley War Memorial
Set on a many stepped base, surrounded by paving, the memorial is one of the tallest obelisks in Queensland, with a laurel wreath and sword near the top. The words, Their name liveth for evermore, are on a small plaque under the dagger.

One plaque reads: This memorial has been erected by the residents of Laidley and district to do honour to those brave men and women who offered their lives for their country during the Great War 1914–1918. Another plaque reads: This plaque has been erected in honour of those who gave their lives in the second world war 1939–1945, and lists 28 names. Plaques around the memorial list 48 names.
