Wooden honour board listing the names of those who served in WWII from Mirani and surrounding district. The names have been inscribed/carved by hand. The Brittish and Australian flags are hand painted and feature at the top of the honour board.

Carved by returned serviceman William Edward Costello (QX 18733) who served in the 2/26 Battalion 8th. Division A.I.F.
He was reported missing in early 1942 in Malaya and in May 1943 it was found that he had become a Prisoner of War at the Changi POW Camp in Singapore. He was recovered from the Japanese at Changi POW Camp in September 1945 and returned to Brisbane in October 1945.The Museum is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday or by private appointment (Ph: (07) 4961 9229).
